TRAIL INFO. – Our hike today was on the Lady Slipper Trail in the Lake Russell Recreation Area, east of Cornelia off of Hwy. 123. There are several trails to choose from in this U.S. Forest Service Park. The Lady Slipper Trail is a nice 6.2 mile loop trail. Another beautiful hiking day! Cloudy with fog early, soon clearing to a beautiful blue sky. Temps. ranged from the upper 30’s to low 50’s. Total hike today – a little more than 7 miles. |
