TRAIL INFO. – Due to the rainy conditions, we decided to hike the short trails at Tallulah Falls, GA and tour the Jane Hurt Yarn Interpretive Center at Tallulah Gorge State Park. Directions: Tallulah Falls, GA is located between Clarkesville and Clayton, GA on Highway 441. The State Park visitors center is on the north side of the HWY 441 bridge on Jane Hurt Yarn Road about a quarter mile past the bridge. Another great day for a hike! Cloudy, rain, and foggy with Temps in the mid 60’s F. FLORA IN BLOOM: Goldenrod, White Snakeroot, White Wood Aster, Asters. FLORA IN FRUIT: American Beautyberry, Hearts-a-burstin, Partridge Berries, Elderberries. FAUNA: Birds Identified- Northern Mockingbird, American Crow, Pileated Woodpecker. |
