TRAIL INFO. – Today’s hike was on the Chattooga River Trail starting at the parking lot at the Hwy. 76 bridge and hiking northward on the trail. Nice trail with mild elevation changes and outstanding river views. Total round trip hiking distance – 8 mi. Directions: Take Hwy. 76 E from Clayton, GA to the SC state line. (Chattooga River) Another great day for a hike! Mostly fair, very windy and cold with temperatures ranging from the low 30’s to mid-40’s! FLOWERS IN BLOOM: Purple Violet, Trailing Arbutus, Green and Gold
BIRDS IDENTIFIED: Pileated Woodpecker, Towhee, Winter Wren, Dark-eyed Junco
