Today’s hike was on the Bartram Trail and Pinnacle Knob Trail in Rabun County, GA. We started the hike at Warwoman Dell Park off of Warwoman Road east of Clayton, GA. This hike followed the Bartram Trail northward until it intersected the Pinnacle Knob Trail where we turned left and hiked up to the top of Pinnacle Mountain and had lunch at the overlook.

TRAIL INFO. – This potion of the Bartram Trail is in excellent shape and the Pinnacle Knob Trail is in good shape with a very steep climb up to the mountain peak. The view is spectacular from Pinnacle Knob. Overall, we rate the difficulty level moderate due to significant elevation change. Directions: Trail access – Take Highway 884 East from Clayton, GA for 5 miles or so on Warwoman Road and look for the Warwoman Dell sign on the right and turn right and park in the first parking area. Walk a short distance up the road and you will see the trail leading to the right. Follow the yellow trail markers. Today’s hiking distance – 7.8 miles Another great day for a hike!
