| Today’s hike was on the Bartram Trail from Warwoman Dell to Big Rock (via the side trail) and we also took the side trail up to the summit of Rainey Mountain. Total hike approx. 7.5 mi.

TRAIL INFO. – The Bartram trail in very good shape with some moderate hills in this area. The side trail down to Big Rock is steep and can be slippery but a large rope is there to make the walk down and back up safer. Directions: Take Highway 884 East (Warwoman Road) from Clayton, GA for 5 miles or so and look for the Warwoman Dell sign on the right and turn right and park in the last parking area (end of road). Follow the yellow trail markers . Another great day for a hike! Mostly cloudy and mild. Temperatures ranged from the high 50s to mid 60s F.
