| This week’s hike was on the Bartram Trail in GA Warwoman Dell to a point beyond the Big Rock intersection. We included the side trail out to Big Rock. Total round trip – 7 miles.

TRAIL INFO. This portion of the Bartram Trail starts at historic Warwoman Dell and heads southward toward Rainey Mountain and on to Bob Gap. There is a side trail leading to Big Rock which overlooks Camp Rainey Mountain of the Northeast Georgia Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Total hiking distance today – 7 miles – Moderate difficulty with elevation changes. Directions: Take Highway 884 East from Clayton, GA for 5 miles or so on Warwoman Road and look for the Warwoman Dell sign on the right and turn right and drive to the end of the dirt road and park. Take the trail to the left up the mountain following the yellow blazes. Another great day for a hike! Cloudy and cool with temperatures ranging from 56 to 58 degrees F.  The side trail is named the Goat Trail. It leads from Camp Rainey Mountain to Big Rock. |

 There is a rope near the rock that helps prevent slips and falls. |
