Bartram Trail – Warwoman Dell to Martin Creek Falls

Today’s hike was on the Bartram Trail in Rabun Co. GA from Warwoman Dell to Martin Creek Falls.

HIKERS – Mike Bell, Karen Brown, Greta Driggers, Jim Driggers, Bill Hunt, Mike Jones, Dick Metzgar, Trushna Nadig, Jeanne O’Connor, Tony Presley and Vic Robson.

TRAIL INFORMATION – A beautiful section of the Bartram Trail featuring two very nice waterfalls. The trail is well maintained and has rolling terrain.

Hike difficulty – moderate with several manageable inclines.

Directions: Take Highway 884 East (Warwoman Road) from Clayton, GA for 5 miles or so and look for the Warwoman Dell sign on the right and turn right and park in the first parking area. Walk a short distance up the road and you will see the trail leading to the right. Follow the yellow trail markers.

Another great day for a hike! Sunny and cool warm with temperatures ranging from 55 to 64 degrees F. Hiking distance – 4.2 miles.

BIRDS IDENTIFIED: White-breasted Nuthatch, Carolina Chickadee, Tufted Titmouse, Carolina Wren.

We arrive at Martin Creek with a very strong flow due to recent days of rain.

The trail was flooded in a couple of spots but we able to get around the edge.
