Notes: A really great day for a hike with sunny skies, a light breeze and temperatures between 37-52 degrees. The trail was dry and in excellent shape showing recent signs of extensive trail maintenance by the Georgia Appalachian Trail Club. The trail was not really that difficult with just a few short sections of rocks and roots, none as difficult as other sections of the AT we have hiked. There is a short section of steep incline on either side of Ramrock Mtn., but the rest are moderately inclined. Today we met 12 AT through hikers of various ages from Maine, Maryland, North Carolina, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio & New Hampshire.
