Name: Bartram Trail Warwoman Dell to Pinnacle Knob
Distance: 9.3
Difficulty: Moderate
Total Climbing Elevation: 1,824
Type: Out & Back
Notes: Beautiful day for a hike with clear skies and starting temperatures of 43 degrees and breezy on Pinnacle Knob and 65 degrees on return to Warwoman Dell. Except for a few deadfall trees along the initial trail leading to Becky Branch Falls, the trail conditions were excellent. We passed four Forest Service workers cutting out deadfall and cutting back encroaching vegetation. They advised the FS would be removing the damaged bridge below Becky Branch Falls and not replacing it. They indicated they would also block the short approach trail to Beck Branch Falls from Warwoman Road in favor of the existing parallel trail that joins the Bartram trail just past those falls. There were very few rocks, roots and wet areas on the trail. There were also not many steep inclines, even on the way up to Pinnacle Knob. Nice views from Pinnacle Knob and lots of water flowing in the several creeks along the trail. I would consider this hike easy to moderate in difficulty.
