Name: Glen Falls Trail
Distance: 2.6
Difficulty: Moderate
Total Climbing Elevation: 623
Type: Out & Back
Notes: This was the second hike of the day. The first being on the Whiteside Mountain Trail. Again, there were a fair number of visitors on the trail. The weather continued to be in the mid-70's and mostly clear. The trail is very well used and shows it with lots of exposed roots along a steep incline down to the falls. Efforts have been made to try to control the inherent erosion problem with some high, wooden steps in some sections. All this to mean you have to be careful about your footing as you proceed along the trail in either direction. You could say there are four falls along this trail with the first two being the tallest. All are worth visiting. The statistics and plot of this hike are uploaded from my Garmin which actually showed the distance at 2.6 miles.
