Notes: After our hike to Opossum Creek Falls, several of us decided to check out nearby Reedy Branch Falls. Jenny did a little research a couple of years ago and found a short article on it on the discoversouthcarolina.com web site which stated, "the property was going to be developed for home sites, only the US Forest Service bought it before the first house was ever built." Anyway, it's a very short hike through the rock-walled gate to the waterfalls which are really beautiful coming off a 30-foot mini-canyon wall surrounding it. A former vehicle bridge across Reedy Branch leading to the now drained pond downstream has been washed out. There is a newly constructed personnel bridge across Reedy Branch above the washout which allows access to the falls and road. A nice short walk if you have limited time or abilities. Definitely worth the stop and walk. Show les
