Name: Yonah Preserve Trails
Distance: 6.2
Difficulty: Easy
Total Climbing Elevation: 413
Type: Loop
Notes: We got started at 8:15 AM and avoided the forecasted heat and humidity with the help of high tree cover keeping temperatures between 72&82. The trail continues to be in excellent condition despite heavy use of both hikers and bikers. This is an easy trail with very short hill climbs. We took the short side trail on the northwestern section of the hike to see the reported Yonah Preserve WaterFall. Having not fully researched the location of this waterfall, sorry Roger, we only saw a small, but picturesque cascade well below the actual waterfall. The correct location of the Yonah Preserve Waterfall is shown on Waypoint #1 on the track map. We saw only one wildflower today and just a few mushrooms, but it was still a "great day for a hike."
